Feinstein Pens Letter About FDA and Cosmetic Inspections

US Senator Dianne Feinstein has penned a letter to the editor of the New York Times regarding its Aug. 3 news story on FDA inspection of imported cosmetic products. In the letter, the Democratic senator from California calls out the “old and woefully inadequate” laws “governing the safety of chemicals in consumer products.” According to Feinstein, the bipartisan Personal Care Products Safety Act, “would be the best solution” and she urged Congress to “act on the bill as soon as possible.” ...
